Founded by Carla Moultrie, The Ausome World was born from both lived experience and a deep passion for advocacy, inclusion, and creating meaningful opportunities for individuals with disabilities and their families.

As the mother of an autistic daughter, Camille, Carla began noticing that many adaptive sports programs, recreational opportunities, and inclusive activities she desired for her daughter were either unavailable or extremely limited within their immediate community. While searching for opportunities that would allow Camille to safely participate, connect socially, and thrive alongside her peers, she realized many other families were facing the same barriers.

As Camille continued to grow, Carla also began thinking deeply about the future for her daughter and other individuals like her. She recognized a significant lack of programs and supportive services for older children, teens, and adults with disabilities, especially programs focused on independent living skills, social engagement, recreation, wellness, and long-term quality of life.

Out of that realization, The Ausome World, Inc. was created.

At The Ausome World, we believe every individual deserves the opportunity to live a life filled with dignity, joy, connection, growth, and purpose, regardless of diagnosis or ability.

Our organization provides adaptive sports opportunities, daily living and life skills programs for adults with disabilities, sensory-inclusive experiences, educational support, family-centered initiatives, and community engagement programs designed to strengthen confidence, independence, wellness, and belonging.

We understand that many families navigating disabilities often face isolation, lack of support, limited recreational opportunities, and barriers to inclusion. The Ausome World exists to help change that narrative by building spaces where individuals and families feel welcomed, valued, and celebrated.

Our adaptive programming is designed to meet individuals where they are while encouraging growth, social connection, physical activity, emotional development, and life enrichment. From adaptive sports and recreational activities to independent living support and inclusive community experiences, our goal is to help every participant maximize their unique abilities and potential.

The Ausome World also recognizes that support extends beyond the individual. Families and caregivers need community, encouragement, resources, and opportunities to connect with others who understand their journey. We are committed to creating programs and partnerships that uplift and strengthen the entire family unit.

Our vision is to create a world where inclusion is not an afterthought, but a standard, where individuals with disabilities are fully embraced in schools, sports, workplaces, churches, and communities.

Through advocacy, collaboration, education, and innovative programming, The Ausome World is working to build a future where every ability is valued and every person has the opportunity to thrive without limits.
